Straight cut or wide leg?
The straight and narrow
Around here, a straight cut doesn’t mean baggy. It’s comfortable, sure, with room where it matters. But it remains tidy, no big volumes.
- Higher than usual. We’ve nudged the waist up a bit to hit the sweet spot between comfort and a clean look.
- A sensible leg opening. Measuring 20cm on a size 30, it’s far from skinny, and nowhere near the wide leg we see trotting about the place these days. Well judged, just like you asked for.
- A balanced, straight cut. Room at the thighs, easy at the knee, and a clean line down to the ankle. No billowing, just tidy.

Do they fall well?
You could say that
500 grams of pure organic cotton makes quite the impression.
- A nicely textured cotton twill. You’re probably well acquainted by now with the rich character of the sorts of twills we opt for. This is no different.
- Cotton’s good, but organic cotton’s better. Ours comes certified, so you know it’s been grown and processed in a way that respects both the people making it and the planet. This time, it’s fresh from Turkey.
- 260 gsm—bang on for year-round wear. Not too light, not too heavy - great drape all year round.

Built to last?
What do you reckon?
Not only did we hunt for a top-drawer organic cotton twill, we also teamed up with some very serious trouser know-how at Expotime.
- A double belt loop at the back. Looks good, and is very handy: your belt stays put exactly where you want it.
- Double-welted back pockets. A high-quality, tailoring detail.
- A touch of fusing in the waistband. A solid, dependable way of maximising durability without messing with comfort or appearances.
- Bar-tacks reinforcing every high-stress zone. Especially at the corners of the slanted front pockets— an absolutely essential move to ensure long-term service.
- Buttons that won’t let go. Sewn on using an Ascolite machine. Now you know.
- A metal hook-and-bar closure for a tidy, reliable finish. Built to take a proper beating.
