A question of style and elegance

The Tweed Jacket is back for preorder from next Tuesday. In the meantime, here’s some insight on this storied garment.

The elegance of modernised British heritage

Tweed is a legendary fabric made from carded wool and woven to be super-insulating, super-warm and super-strong. Originally heavy and rough, it gradually escaped the workwear fold to create a category all of its own. You have to respect the heritage, and we wanted to make sure our Tweed Jacket stayed authentic.

This led us to Abraham Moon, a famous English mill that’s been weaving tweed since 1837. 186 years on, it’s safe to say they know a thing or two about the stuff.

Unsurprisingly, it has a distinctive raw texture, both dry and fluffy. Striking from a distance and captivating up close. The level of detail is unparalleled, and you'll quickly be won over by this unique dense and smooth hand.

Our approach to this classic was to develop the modern cut you asked for. It injects a new lease of life into a garment that can sometimes be a bit too old-fashioned. The fit is tailored, the lapels a little slimmer, the length reasonable and the shoulders supple. Together, this creates a clean contemporary look.

For this latest version, we've added a viscose lining to the body and sleeves just like you asked. Not only does this give a fine finish, it also adds to the comfort stakes.

Grey marl: urban and sophisticated.

The most versatile option. With its elegant, modern look, it's equally at home in the office or out about town.

Navy: the classic choice with a twist.

Classic as you like, perfect for those who want a more understated look.

Dark Green herringbone: the bold choice for the urban adventurer.

Whether you’re picking the winner at Newbury or mushrooms in the forest, look elegant. Look nonchalant. This twist is for you.

Tweed up from Tuesday

The Tweed Jacket will be available for preorder next Tuesday at 10 am (CET).

For your information, it will be available for preorder at 249€. For a jacket of this calibre, made in Europe with a fabric straight from Moon in England, it's almost unheard of.

You may find it later at a stock sale, but with a limited choice of colours and sizes, and the price will rise to 329€ to cater for inventory costs.
