We could go on forever about that bit of fabric that wraps around your neck because we put so much effort into getting it right. We’ve opted for a velvety corduroy collar that’s not just easy on the eye, soft to the touch and great to wear. This seriously hard-wearing detail brings a modern touch, just like you asked for.
Fab fabrics
You’ve got two excellent fabrics to choose from, both made from 100% cotton. Pick between Italian denim or French duck canvas, in 390 or 360g/m2 respectively. We opted for these fabrics over wool because they pill less and can take more of a beating. We know a thing or two about both as we’ve tested them on our Ultimate Jeans, our Zip Jacket and our Ideal Jacket.
HEAVY METAL
As you can see, those big metal buttons are pretty special. They’re chunky, they’re tough as nuts and they’re guaranteed to set off the buzzer when you walk through airport security… what more could you want?
POCKETS ‘A’ PLENTY
Tape measure? Overly chunky carpenter’s pencil? Half-eaten sandwich? Thanks to those three sizeable front patch pockets, there’s more than enough space for whatever it is you like to lug around. And for the really important stuff, there’s an inside zipper pocket too.
WORKWEAR YOU CAN ACTUALLY WEAR
Whilst some old work jackets you find at vintage markets are lined with thick wool, we choose to keep ours unlined to keep your options open. Yep—it’ll still work as a layering piece on a cold and frosty morning, but because it’s just made of cotton, it won’t be too stifling for a warmer evening.

The Corduroy Collar Jacket was crafted by the fine folk at Cortextil in Portugal. This lot are dab hands at making solid workwear—if you were lucky enough to bag one of our Denim or Zip Jackets then you’ll know what we’re on about.

A Stone Denim and a version in black stone from Candiani in Italy and a Military green Duck Canvas from Telatex in France…Three classic work-ready tones for a modern workwear jacket that will age gracefully, somewhat like fine wine, but that you can actually use in the meantime.

Delivery costs
We deliver worldwide, with the cost being automatically calculated at checkout. For all deliveries to the UK, within the European Union, Switzerland and Norway we charge a flat fee of 9€. For other European countries we charge 15€, please check our FAQ for the full list of countries included. All other countries are charged at 25€.
Easy to change sizes
If you get the wrong size or colour, fear not, we will exchange your item no questions asked. These are free for orders in the European Union and the UK. For all other countries, we only ask you to cover the cost of the return and we’ll take care of the cost of sending out any exchange. Just log into your Asphalte account and we’ll get that sorted.
