The problems you've had with Shetland jumpers in the past.
1
They bobble excessively.
2
They lose their shape.
3
The fit’s poor.
4
The wool’s flimsy.
Texture, character and an island attitude.
A little extra personality
Love a bit of texture? Well, here’s one for you. The Shetland Jumper’s a shortcut to adding depth and character to any getup. Just throw it on and it magically elevates any outfit - smart or casual. You can thank the beautifully carded wool for that.
A yarn with heritage
The recipe for a top-notch jumper? Exceptional fibre. That’s why we’ve gone with rustic wool from New Zealand, spun and dyed in Prato, Italy. The yarn hits the sweet spot at 25 microns—balancing texture, warmth, strength, and authenticity. The result? A knit that packs just the right amount fluff and strength. Once you’ve felt it, you’ll be smitten.
Carded to perfection
Carded wool is like a good puff pastry: light, airy, and oh-so-satisfying. It’s an age-old process that untangles and fluffs the fibres for maximum insulation and a scrumptiously ragged look. We’ve embraced its raw, uncombed beauty to craft a jumper that’s warm, textured, and undeniably charming. It’s as cosy as it looks.
A tighter knit
Textured wool might look stunning, but it can take fluff a step too far. You told us you wanted a jumper that doesn’t bobble, so we’ve gone for a tight, dense jersey knit. Not only does it keep the fluff at bay, but it also locks in warmth, producing a jumper that’s ready to take on the cold, season after season.
One-piece wonder
‘Fully fashioned’ knitting is the gold standard in knitwear production. It allows us to create a jumper in one seamless piece, meaning no awkward joins, no uncomfortable seams—just pure comfort and a clean, tidy look. Our Portuguese partners at Fatextil are masters of this craft, and they’ve nailed it once again.
Hammer sleeves
Armholes matter, right? Whether you’re raising a glass, picking up your little one, or trying to impress someone with your error-strewn knowledge of constellations, you need to be able to move freely. That’s why we’ve gone with hammer sleeves. Similar to raglan sleeves, they extend up to the neckline but finish with a slimmer band at the shoulder. Functional and flattering—it’s a win-win.
The ideal cut
Not too baggy, not too tight—just right. The Shetland Jumper’s tailored fit is perfect for layering over a tee or a shirt, keeping you comfy without compromising on style. Stick to your usual size and you won’t be disappointed.
Textured brilliance
We can’t lie—we’ve got a real soft spot for this jumper. Its textured finish, fleecy touch, and airy colours combine very nicely. A blend of classic style, bold personality, and everyday practicality, it’s one of those rare wardrobe gems you’ll be regularly reaching for for a large chunk of the year.
