How to wash them
You can wash them every 8 to 10 wears or earlier in cases of spills and thrills. Undo the zip and buttons. Turn them inside out before tossing them in the washing machine.
Wash at 30°C with similar colours and make sure the wash program finishes on a max. 800rpm spin cycle to get rid of excess water. Don't go any higher, it won't speed anything up and it could risk damaging the cotton. Dry cleaning is an option. But NOT bleaching.
How to dry them
After taking them out of the wash, either put them flat or hang them up by the legs to finish drying, away from direct sunlight.
NO tumble drying. This is not only good for your trousers, but for most of your clothes, as well as for reducing energy consumption.
How to iron & store them
Not everyone irons their casual trousers, but for those of you who do, just before they're totally dry, use a cool iron – the one dot setting of a max 110°C. Then keep them in your wardrobe on a trouser hanger.
FYI, OUR CARGO PANTS ARE SOFT ON YOU AND THE PLANET
Since 1 January 2024, the New French environmental legislation known as The AGEC Law stipulates transparency from our lot in the fashion industry so that you can make an informed purchase. As you can imagine, this is something that we fully support at Asphalte. So here's some additional information about our Cargo Pants:
- They’re 100% recyclable after being dismantled, which means that the day their services are no longer required every component can be fully recycled. If you stop wearing them for whatever reason, you might want to consider making someone else happy by passing them on to a friend, family member or donating them to a charity. The best way of reducing an item of clothing’s impact is by keeping it in circulation, and only recycling it when there really is no life or use left in it.
- No microplastics are released during washing. Unlike many garments, our Cargo Pants have been designed to not release any microplastics. Plastic microfibres are tiny particles of plastic that are released when worn or washed and have a negative impact on aquatic and land ecosystems.
- They do not contain any hazardous materials. They’re manufactured in compliance with strict standards aimed at eliminating the use of harmful substances and other chemical nasties.
- They do not contain any recycled materials. We try to incorporate recycled materials whenever we can, unfortunately, it hasn’t been possible to do so with the Cargo Pants.
