We've just been told that you're the proud owner of a Polo Jersey, and we're delighted to hear that. We spent a long time up the spiritual offspring of the t-shirt and polo shirt, so it's great to see that it's caught your eye.
To help you keep it in tip-top shape, we thought an easy-to-follow care guide wouldn't go amiss. Here it is.
Washing the Jersey Polo
Nothing too complicated here. You can machine wash it on a 30°C cotton setting topped off by a 600-800 rpm spin cycle.
Wash with similar colours to avoid the darker ones bleeding onto the lighter ones,. If you have a washing net handy, that's even better.
We recommend using a liquid, organic detergent. In fact, you can even make your own at home using one of the 200 billion recipes online. Save money and the planet while enjoying the unique smell of your homemade detergent.
Drying the Jersey Polo
Jersey being a knit, not a fabric, you’ll want to dry it laid flat. If you're short for space, you can hang it upside down on a drying rack, but the best way is to hang it horizontally, possibly on a terry towel to soak up any excess water. In the long run, this will help it retain its beautiful straight cut without stretching the knit.
Ironing the Jersey Polo
Ironing enthusiasts need not worry, it's perfectly possible to give your Jersey Polo shirt a few runs with the iron.Just make sure you set yours on the cotton setting at 110°C max, and place a fabric between the plate and your precious polo There's nothing better to save you from a burn or a nasty limescale mark.
FYI, OUR JERSEY POLOS ARE SOFT ON YOU AND THE PLANET
Since 1 January 2024, the New French environmental legislation known as The AGEC Law stipulates transparency from our lot in the fashion industry so that you can make an informed purchase. As you can imagine, this is something that we fully support at Asphalte. So here's some additional information about our Jersey Polo Shirts:
- They’re 100% recyclable after being dismantled, which means that the day their services are no longer required every component can be fully recycled. If you stop wearing them for whatever reason, you might want to consider making someone else happy by passing them on to a friend, family member or donating them to a charity. The best way of reducing an item of clothing’s impact is by keeping it in circulation, and only recycling it when there really is no life or use left in it.
- No microplastics are released during washing. Unlike many garments, our Jersey Polo Shirts have been designed to not release any microplastics. Plastic microfibres are tiny particles of plastic that are released when worn or washed and have a negative impact on aquatic and land ecosystems.
- They do not contain any hazardous materials. They’re manufactured in compliance with strict standards aimed at eliminating the use of harmful substances and other chemical nasties.
- They do not contain any recycled materials. We try to incorporate recycled materials whenever we can, unfortunately, it hasn’t been possible to do so with the Jersey Polo Shirt.
Thanks!
