A Tribute Jacket
You know us: we love giving timeless wardrobe classics a modern twist. With this Army Jacket, we've done just that, blending tradition and contemporary style. It's a piece of history you can wear every day.
A piece of history
Our Army Jacket is inspired by an iconic model: the US Army's M-1951 field jacket, or M-51 to the rest of us. We've kept the four front pockets, the pointed lapels, the buttoned cuffs, and the drawstring waist while trimming down on some of the other bells and whistles. After all, there’s a limit to how much action you can expect on your morning commute.
Adaptable cut
Our Army Jacket has a straight cut, just as you wanted. It looks good and you can fit a few layers underneath when the seasons shift. And when you want a bit more shape you can simply reach for the drawstring at the waist. Handy, right? The drawstring isn’t just a style feature though, it also earns its keep by locking in the air around your body to keep you warm when the temperature drops.
In tall cotton
Historically, the M-51s worn by American GIs were made from 9 oz cotton sateen, or 255g/m2. We've kept the satin weave but made it a bit heavier and durable, hitting 273 gr/m2. All in 100% organic cotton, of course.
The inside scoop
Unlike the original M-51s where the cord was visible, we've hidden ours for a cleaner look. Tighten or loosen at will, the knot will no longer be in plain site whether your jacket is buttoned up or not.
It's in the pockets
We've stayed true to the original design with four patch pockets on the front. They add structure and give you plenty of space to carry your stuff. Character meets utility…
Militaria trifecta
Our Army Jacket is available in three foolproof colours. Sticking with the militaria theme, we've got a simple yet effective palette: olive, navy and camel. Land, sea or desert - it’s up to you.
Easy care
Easy to wear, even easier to care for. Just machine wash your Army Jacket up to two to three times a year at 30°C. For best results, stay beyond the 800 rpm spin cycle mark and iron on the gentlest 'cotton' setting. That's all there is to it.
Up for preorder until Sunday
Our Army Jacket is a piece of heritage with a modern twist, full of passion, history, and craftsmanship. It's available for preorder until midnight Sunday. Don't miss out.
