Chin up

On point with a P, as in Portugal. Where they’re made.

You told us how the chinos on the market weren’t up to scratch?

1

They stretch and lose their shape

2

The colours fade way too soon

3

The buttons and seams fall apart

4

The fit is not right

Tough nut and then some

Fabric with character

97% organic cotton, 3% elastane, that's the stuff these Heavy Chinos are made off. Its double-twisted yarn guarantees a high level of durability. Tough as nuts but soft at heart.

A cut above

Unsurprisingly, we stayed true to your favoured tailored fit. But, just like you asked for in our questionnaire, we’ve added a touch more ease around the thighs and waist before tapering from the knee down. Still tailored, just more comfortable.

It doesn’t get more comfy than this

Making solid trousers isn't rocket science. But creating a pair of chinos that are seriously comfortable can get a bit technical. For example, we've injected 3% elastane, a Creora yarn if you want to know, to get just the right level of softness and flexibility.

Elastane? But why?

As well as providing comfort, the addition of elastane makes the fabric more resilient under stress and last longer. Basically, thanks to the Creora yarn, your Heavy Chinos will return to their original shape whatever you put them through, within reason.

Maximum versatility

Robust, check. Durable, check. Comfortable, check. And the design? We've spoiled you here, too. These chinos are the ultimate alternative to jeans, so we've designed ours accordingly. Tailored cut, waistband button fastening, two welted back pockets: we've pulled out all the stops so they can fit straight into your most casual or dressy outfits.

Faithful colours

Rest assured that your Heavy Chinos won't be losing their intense hues any time soon. We know that fading colours is a pet peeve of yours, so we've dyed our fabrics directly on the roll. Not only does this produce a more even finish, but it also allows the pigments to penetrate deeper into the fibres so that the colours keep looking good for longer

Shapeweight

259 gr/m2 is the density of the cotton/elastane fabric we chose for the Heavy Chinos. For us, it's the best compromise between robustness and versatility. Heavier would have ruled them out for milder days, and lighter would have impacted their robustness and lost the nice drape. 259 gr/m2 is bang on the nose.

Serious assembly

As you know, we always try to make everything that goes into our clothes in Europe. This time we’ve partnered with Expotime in Bulgarian. They’re a manufacturer famed for their skill and diligence in making trousers and we’re really happy to finally be working with them.
