Itchy texture
2
Too short to actually tie around your neck

Wool that pills
4
Drab selection of colours
Now that’s a scarf and a half
UK, you say?
Every production step was carried out in the UK by the Yorkshire wool wizards at Abraham Moon. They’ve got two centuries of experience under their belts, so you could say they know what they’re doing.
It’s a high baaahhh
As you probably know by now, we spend a lot of time thinking about wool, and we don’t use just any wool. It’s got to be top-notch stuff, and this time round we’ve sourced a seriously soft lambswool from South Africa.
Now back to Yorkshire
Once the wool makes its way from South Africa to Yorkshire, Abraham Moon get to work spinning, dyeing, and finishing the wool to a very high standard.
One-stop shop
Not only do they process the wool, but they actually knitted the scarves, too. What a talented bunch.
Weight a minute
It’s important to get the weight right when it comes to scarves. Too light and it’s fairly useless, but too heavy and you’re bound to sweat even in sub-zero temperatures. The weight we’ve gone for here is 270 g/m2, which by our calculations is just right.
Softly, softly
The texture of a scarf might actually be the most important thing. The last thing you want is coarse, scratchy wool around your neck. We knew this scarf couldn’t be itchy or scratchy, so the team at Abraham Moon saw to that.
Tasty tartan
A tartan scarf is a classic. That’s why we’ve made not one but two check designs available: one in always-stylish Blackwatch, and the other in shortbread-tin red.
Or maybe plain’s your game
If tartan isn’t to your taste, then we’ve got plain options, too. You can choose from navy or grey, both of which happen to go with everything.
Fringe benefits
Lastly, the scarves are all finished with fringed ends. It’s a small detail, but those are the things that count.
