In France, 700,000 tonnes of clothing get binned every year. How many of those flimsy chinos give up the ghost too soon? Faded like they’ve trekked the Sahara, sagging at the knees like you’ve breakdanced in them, or ripped at the crotch just from sitting down at your desk.
Enough’s enough.
Built to last, stitch by stitch
When we started working on the Heavy Chinos, the mission was simple: make a pair that wouldn’t tap out after three months.
The secret? 97% organic Turkish cotton and 3% elastane, so not just any fabric. It’s woven in Italy by Mantafil with double-twisted warp yarn—which, in plain English, means each thread is made of two tightly twisted strands before it even hits the loom. The result? Unbeatable resistance to wear and tear. Our customers back it up, giving it a solid 8.4/10 for durability.
The Creora elastane does two things: keeps you comfy and stops the fabric from stretching out of shape. No more saggy knees by lunchtime. No surprise it scored 9.1/10 for comfort.
The fit that works for everyone
A tailored fit, with room at the waist and thighs, tapering slightly from the knee down. Whether you’re at work, out for drinks, or just knocking about, they look sharp but never feel restrictive. And the ratings say it all: 8.6/10 for fit, 8.9/10 for style. That’s nearly honour-board worthy.
Colours that don’t fade
We hate fading as much as you do. That’s why we’ve used roller dyeing, which pushes pigment deep into the fibres so it won’t budge. This time around, you’ve got five colours to choose from. The essentials—Navy, Camel, and Petrol Blue—plus two new options: Olive and Sand.
No cutting corners
Every detail’s been thought through. A YKK metal zip, because plastic ones always break sooner or later. We splashed out on bio-sourced resin buttons—solid, sustainable, and a double-button fastening so everything stays in place with no awkward gaping.
You’ll no doubt enjoy the pocket details—Italian-style at the front, piped at the back for a clean finish. Discretely holding the fort is an almost invisible stitching on the fly and hem. It’s barely noticeable, but you’ll be pleased it’s there over the years.
Chinos that go the distance
The Heavy Chinos were designed to last years, not seasons. At 259g/m², the fabric is weighty enough to hold its shape but breathable enough for all-year wear.
The feel? Soft but substantial. You know quality when you touch it, and this is the kind of trousers that only gets better with age. Little wonder they’ve scored an overall rating of 8.5/10. So, if you’re still on the fence: yes, they’re worth it.
Here’s the deal
The Heavy Chinos are made in Portugal at Expotime, a partner we’ve worked with since day one. Preorder price: 99€. And that starts next Thursday at 10 am CET, with deliveries landing mid-July. First come, first served.
Miss the preoder and you might just find it at a later stock sale in limited sizes and colours and for 139€ to cater for inventory costs. So sign up if you don’t want to miss it or want to get a one-hour head start before the official launch.
