Paris-Texas capsule collection: introducing the Bandana
Fair and square
Centuries of history
Borrowed from Hindi and Sanskrit, ‘bandhana’ means headband or tie and has been widely used around the world since the 18th century. Across the ages, it’s served as a handkerchief, a headband, a scarf and a sign of cultural identity. Naturally, the moment cowboys touched it, it became an emblem of Americana. Thanks, John.
The iconic format
Like most traditional bandanas, ours is square. 50x50cm. Generous without being excessive, this size allows for a variety of uses, from the conventional to the most inventive.
Fair and square
Nowadays, most bandanas contain synthetic materials. At Asphalte, we've opted for a natural fabric made from 100% organic cotton. It's grown in Turkey with a strict certification that bans the use of chemicals and guarantees sustainable water management so as not to over-strain the environment. This also ensures better-quality fibres.
A unique design
Developed exclusively for Asphalte, the pattern’s a tribute to everything that makes the bandana so iconic. Its unique geometry is dotted with small ‘A’s - a touch that requires little explanation we trust.
The ultimate accessory
There are 1,001 ways to wear a Bandana, but there’s only one way to get your hands on this one: preorder it before Sunday, midnight. Our production partners north of Porto will be waiting for your smoke signal to get started.
All production steps for your Bandana
