To make sure we made the ultimate Briefs, we asked 4028 of you where your pants had let you down in the past-so we didn’t make the same mistakes. Here’s what you told us…

What you didn’t want

1

The fabric didn’t keep its shape

2

The material was rubbish quality

3

Holes appeared in no time

4

They weren’t comfy enough

Briefs for the long haul

PUT THROUGH THEIR PACES

Once the design for our Boxer Briefs was finalised we sent out 1,200 prototype pairs for you lot to test drive in the real world. From our initial attempts through the almost-there versions and right the way up to pants-perfection — your feedback was crucial. Since we nailed the design, 10,000 pairs have met new owners and are out there, in the wild, doing their thing. A real group effort.

ROOMY, NOT BAGGY

Stretch and fit are vital factors in making the ideal underpants. Too snug and the elastic’ll hit the point of no return then give up, leaving you with baggy, shapeless briefs. Go too baggy from the outset and you’ve got a bunching situation no one wants on their plate, or in their slacks. So we opted for a cut that’s just a touch roomier than average. They’re not board shorts or anything, but that little bit of extra space will mean they’ll always stay in shape.

MADE FROM TOUGH STUFF

You want your boots to last, your jeans to wear-in well, and your jacket to have your back for years to come. There’s no reason not to want the same of your pants. Made from reassuringly solid 180g/m2 organic cotton, our Boxer Briefs are built to last.

COTTON’S THE WAY TO GO

The jersey we opted for is made from 95% organic cotton. The other 5%? That’s a little touch of elastane for added comfort. Why organic cotton? Well, for its softness and breathability, but also because this top-quality natural material has well-known hypoallergenic properties. Briefly: it’s a match made in pants heaven.

DOUBLE TROUBLE

Contrary to popular belief, briefs shouldn’t turn into hole-filled cleaning rags-to-be a mere two weeks after you bought ‘em. Of course, undies take a battering, but that’s no excuse. Friction and chaffing are the main culprits when it comes to wear - we cut those down with the perfected, tidy fit. And, to keep holes at bay even longer we double-layered the fabric on the inside leg for a bit of extra reinforcement. Being unholy’s good, when it comes to pants.

COMFORT IS KING

A lot of our boxer-brief-testers mentioned that some of their past pairs had a strange habit of morphing into bunched-up Y-fronts throughout the day, the legs inching up with every step you take. To put a stop to this once and for all, our briefs are cut a little longer in the leg — meaning they’ll stay put and stay comfortable. We also took your latest feedback on board and made the legs a little wider. Let’s leave the shapeshifting to the Animorphs.

SEAMS PRETTY GOOD

To make these double-tough we reinforced the side seams. Even Dr David Banner himself would struggle to rip these toughies. We opted for a soft, comfortable yet sturdy elasticated waistband: 83% polyamide, 10% elastane and 7% polyester. This combo came out tops in our secret waistband testing lab — a steady grip that will keep your pants in place without leaving a mark on your hips. Just the ticket.

Singing their po-ethical praises

"A real cotton cocoon for the bird and its eggs, a nest that's neither too big nor too small. Perfect for upgrading from the plastic-y nylon of the "big brands" to the ethical cotton of our new favourite brand." Adem.

Well, we couldn’t have put it more poetically. That’s for sure. Thanks, Adem!

DON’T JUST TAKE OUR WORD FOR IT…

Clearly top-notch stuff ! The waistband is ultra-comfortable and doesn't leave a mark on the waist, and that's great! You feel good in these boxer briefs the moment you put them on! It's like having a little cloud over your bottom and parts and that’s appreciated !" - Thanks for the feedback Max, we'll let you get back on your cloud.

"These boxers are perfect! Perfect style, not too tight or too loose, and super comfortable to wear. Gone are the days of ill-fitting, crotch-cracking rival boxer briefs: I used to be sick of having my balls jiggling around. Now, my family jewels are entitled to the same comfort of clothing as the rest of my body" - Do we really need to add anything? Thanks Ju.

"My wife thinks the fit is great, especially with me in it :-D" - Thanks Vincent, another example that clothes don't make the man.

"These boxer shorts are like slippers, but not for your feet." - Thanks for the feedback Pierre, have you tried them on as slippers?
