French expertise at its best
At Asphalte we take loyalty seriously. So, when we decided it was time to come up with a game-changing belt, who would we turn to other than the dedicated folks who’d worked with us in the past? We thumbed through our artisan Filofax and got on the phone to the good folks at Orca, a family-run workshop in Fougères, Brittany, specialising in leather. Quality craftsmanship and trusted partner producers. What could be better?
Smooth move
When it comes to leather, we always turn to the experts: the Italians. And not just any Italians—Lo Stivale, our trusted partners who supply us with this impossibly smooth, vegetable-tanned leather. It’s the same top-notch stuff that’s worked wonders on all our other belts. When you stumble upon perfection, you don’t mess with it.
Time’s on your side
You’re probably getting the picture now: we’re very familiar with these exquisite leathers, and that means we can even tell you how they’ll age. As the years go by, these hardy but supple leathers will develop a beautiful patina, gaining character year after year.
Coming full circle
The Good Belt’s subtle flair extends to the buckle. It's a refined one: not too chunky, but far from flimsy with a silver finish, it'll keep things in shape and hold the fort in style for years to come.
A stitch in time
We weren’t about to source top-notch leather and a sturdy buckle then chuck it all together with some sub-par glue and half-decent stitching. No, we went to town ensuring the Good Belt’s tough enough to keep your trousers up for years to come. We decided to sew the leather and the lining together with a thick stitching thread. This belt’s not doing a runner any time soon.
An all-round belter
This belt isn't called the Good Belt for nothing. We set out to create a practical, universal accessory, one that’s expertly put together and — above all — ready to go with anything thanks to its versatile 3 cm width. From your wedding suit to raw denims, via combat slacks and cords. The Good Belt’s the only belt you’ll ever need. Ten belts or one in the wardrobe? You do the maths.
