TRACING OUR THREADS
Our Perfect Jumper is made from South African Merino wool. And we have traced it all the way from sheep to checkout. It’s 100% tracked and transparent, which means we know who works on your jumper every step of the way, and you know what you are buying. No wool pulled over our eyes or yours.
A MERINO MASTERPIECE
Why Merino you ask? Or perhaps you don’t, but we’ll tell you anyway... Well not only is this stuff super-soft and supple, but it’s thermoregulating too. That means it keeps you warm when it’s cold but stays breathable when temperatures rise. To cut a long story short, it’s the MVP of the wool world.
WOOLY LONGEVITY, AT LAST
Woolly jumpers have a reputation for shrinking in the wash. Not this one though—we gave it a natural treatment that allows it to be machine-washed up to 30°C, while also minimising pilling. Good news for you, bad news for that Action Man figure that thought he was getting a new jumper…
LET’S TWIST AGAIN
To keep things tough, we went for what’s known in the wool world as “High Twist” thread. This is made by twisting two threads together over a thousand times per inch to give the wool greater resilience. On top of that, we opted for a Milano stitch—a knitting technique that allows the jumper to stretch horizontally without losing its shape. You can’t beat that.
FIT FOR PURPOSE
Not too tight… not too baggy, our Perfect Jumper is sharp rather than slouchy. After making over 35,000 jumpers we think we’ve got our shape down to a tee, so when you scratch your head the world won’t see your belly button.
A WARM WELCOME
To keep things nice and toasty, we packed 550g worth of wool. Thanks to Merino’s mystical breathable qualities, it’s still suitable for mild days, but this stuff really comes into its own when the mercury drops. No more turning the radiators on in September. Bill-friendly knitwear - we think of everything.
NOTHING UP OUR SLEEVES
Unless you’re auditioning for the role of Angsty Teenager #3 in a made-for-TV high-school drama, you probably don’t want your sleeves hanging over your hands. To put a stop to this familiar jumper woe once and for all, we strengthened the ribbing on our cuffs by adding an extra thread. Much sharper.
A TOP DOLLAR COLLAR
The Perfect Jumper wouldn’t be perfect if it had some thin, inconsequential crew-neck collar, so we made sure ours was up to the task. At 2.8 cm wide, it harks back to the glory days of knitwear, when the sun always shone, you could buy a car for two shillings and collars were made to last.
WHAT’S IN A NAME?
We don’t call this the Perfect Jumper for nothing. It’s warm, it’s tough, it’s breathable, and what’s more, it goes with pretty much everything. Layer it under a jacket to keep the chill off your chest… Pop it over a tee on a September evening… Use it as a makeshift goalpost in the park… This thing will do it all.
What does it look like in real life ?
