More than one trick up your Slack

So, what’s a Slack anyway?

Slack. Relaxed. Laid-back. Low-key. In everyday English, “you’re slacking” might sound like a dig—but in our world, it’s a compliment. We’ve taken that chilled-out energy and stitched it straight into a pair of trousers. Meet the Slack Trousers: effortless, easygoing, and designed to look good without trying too hard.

Straight down the line

Not all trousers want to be formal. These lean more chinos than Savile Row. We’re talking a proper straight cut, mid-rise, and not even a smidgen of taper in sight. With a 21cm hem (size M), they’ve got just the right amount of room—perfect for anyone who’s into generous silhouettes and easy movement.

Suit detailing

The Slack Trousers aren’t trying to be full-on tailoring, but they do know a thing or two about looking sharp. Two darts, a crisp pressed leg, and a twill weave that brings structure without any stiffness. Think of them as the missing link between your chinos and your tailored trousers.

Serge but not mythical

We went for a sturdy organic cotton twill—no lining, no nonsense, just a beefy 260g/m² fabric with that iconic diagonal weave. It’s the kind of finish you’ll also find on great denim. Soft but structured, durable but breathable. Basically, it’s the fabric equivalent of a firm handshake.

A reliable belt

The waistband? Clean and simple. We skipped the flashy tailoring tricks and gave it a single, solid button fastening—no faff, no offset tabs. Throw in a sturdy zip, five reinforced belt loops, and a smart-as-you-like imitation horn button, and you’ve got trousers that hold their own (and yours).

Four pockets, zero complaints

What’s the point of great trousers if you’ve got nowhere to stash your stuff? You’ve got four pockets here: two at the front, neatly set into the side seams, and two at the back with tidy piped edges and a button closure to keep everything where it should be.

The finishing touches

From long-staple cotton fibres to the final overlocked seams, every detail’s been dialled in. Bias binding on the inside waistband, resin buttons that look like horn, a silver metal zip, expert assembly in Bulgaria… no shortcuts, just top-notch trousers from the inside out.

Keep it clean (literally)

This time, your washing machine isn’t invited to this party. The Slack Trousers are dry-clean only. A couple of visits a year will keep them looking sharp and help them go the distance.

PS: if you’re also opting for the matching Slack Jacket too, dry clean them together so they age evenly.

Not to be dramatic, but…here’s your future favourite

On their own or paired with the matching jacket, the Slack Trousers are the kind of trousers you didn’t know your wardrobe was missing. Dress them up or down, wear them all day—these trousers do it all, without trying too hard. Just don’t wait too long—they’re only up for preorder for a few days.
