Love the duck
Did you say ‘duck canvas’?
No relation of Daffy, just one of the toughest fabrics out there. Known for being practically indestructible, weighing in at 360g/m², these trousers are built to endure and cherished by hard workers everywhere. Challenge accepted?
Weave work
Canvas isn’t just durable, it’s legendary. Once used to make sails, it’s crafted with two hefty warp threads and two weft threads making it ultra-strong and textured. It’s got the grit you need to handle any storm that comes your way.
The French Touch
Our organic duck canvas comes straight from Telatex, a French mill with 160 years of know-how in making technical textiles. Trust us, they know their stuff, and we’re excited for you to experience their craft for the first time.
The World Cup
You know we love workwear, but we also get that you don’t work in construction. Website construction doesn’t count. So, we’ve combined old-school durability with a modern fit. That means a straight, slightly tapered leg that sits somewhere between a pair of tailored trousers and vintage jeans. Perfectly balanced, right where you want to be.
They won't budge
These Tough Trousers passed all our lab tests with flying colours, scoring high for durability (4/5) and anti-pilling (5/5). They’re tough, hard-wearing, and will keep their shape and texture season after season. Duck canvas plus first-rate craftsmanship means you’re looking at trousers that really live up to their name.
It’s in the pocket
In workwear, pockets are the unsung heroes. Our design includes two riveted front pockets (one with a ticket pocket), two welted back pockets with pointed flaps, and pocket bags in organic cotton, reinforced with canvas. Put them to the test—they can handle it.
Built for life
These trousers? They don’t know the meaning of “worn out”. Sturdy waistband, reinforced fork seams, brass rivets, a three-button fly, six reinforced belt loops: all details borrowed from classic workwear. It’s rugged to the core.
Iron fist, velvet glove
A canvas this tough doesn’t have to be stiff. We’ve run the Tough Trousers through a pumice stone “stone wash” to soften them and deliver instant comfort from day one.
Between authenticity and modernity
These trousers fuse tried-and-tested toughness with a straight cut, rugged construction, and vintage-inspired details. The result? A pair of trousers that are authentic, dependable, and always ready to put in a shift.
Three colours for every mood
The Tough Trousers come in three colours: indigo, military green, and cognac. Pick the shade that speaks to you—they’re all versatile enough to work with just about anything you’ve got.
