We can’t say it enough: the Ultimate Jeans are made from a very special fabric. It’s exclusive to Asphalte and took two years to develop in partnership with the Italian denim masters Candiani. The result is the kind of texture and character that’s usually the reserve of the famed Japanese denim looms. We’re really happy that we’ve managed to hit the same lofty heights in Europe with THE world leader in eco-responsible denim, slashing our footprint in the process. Masterpiece Canvas
Committed to responsible production, as ever, we decided to shift from our denim from Japan to somewhere closer to home. But maintaining the same deep characteristics in the process was no easy task. Enter Candiani. In 2021, we challenged them to recreate the unique grain and character of our Japanese denim in Italy. They said “Va bene,” and two years later, we’re proud to present the result: a beautiful 505 gr/m2 selvedge canvas, built to last and every bit the part.
Sustainable Denim, Limited Impact
Denim is the most popular material on the planet, but it’s also responsible for a lot of environmental damage. We, Asphalte, are always working to achieve the best quality and price at the lowest impact possible. That’s why we produce in Europe, making sure our jeans - like all clothing - are clean, local, and sustainable. The denim in our Ultimate Jeans is made from 100% fully certified organic cotton using recycled water and renewable energy. As always, you can trace every step of its journey right here on our site. Speaking of responsibility, it’s no accident we teamed up with Candiani. These guys are the real deal when it comes to sustainable denim. Based in a nature park in Lombardy, they’re constantly innovating to create the most responsible jeans around. From certifications to patented processes, they’re right at the cutting edge of green technology. Our Ultimate Jeans are based on many of their latest innovations, like Kitotex®, Indigo Juice®, and Sound Dye. We’ve got all the details on our blog if you want to know more. The fit of our Ultimate Jeans is tailored, and it’s already won over 65,000 customers. It’s roomy around the thighs and lightly taper from the knee down, creating a tidy yet comfortable silhouette. Whether you’re a loafer or a sneaker wearer, these jeans look great.

For less than 100€, you’re getting trousers woven, dyed, woven and made in Europe in the most sustainable way possible, with finishes designed to last and last and last. Delivery costs
We deliver worldwide, with the cost being automatically calculated at checkout. For all deliveries to the UK, within the European Union, Switzerland and Norway we charge a flat fee of 9€. For other European countries we charge 15€, please check our FAQ for the full list of countries included. All other countries are charged at 25€.
Easy changes of size
If you get the wrong size or colour, fear not, we will exchange your item no questions asked. These are free for orders in the European Union and the UK. For all other countries, we only ask you to cover the cost of the return and we’ll take care of the cost of sending out any exchange. Just log into your Asphalte account and we’ll get that sorted.

Sure, we pour a lot of hard work into each item we develop, but we won’t take it personally if you change your mind once you receive it for whatever reason.
